THE DENVER & RIO GRANDE RAILROAD DEPOT PURCHASE AND RESTORATION PROJECT

ALL ABOARD WESTCLIFFE HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE AND RESTORE THE D&RG DEPOT

  • The Depot, built in 1901 by the Denver & Rio Grande RR, was granted state historical designation by the Colorado Historical Society, May of 2010. The building is located at 102 Main in downtown Westcliffe.
  • The restoration of the building and subsequent tourism would provide jobs for locals and help to promote more economic activity right here in the Wet Mountain Valley.
  • Our goal is to raise $286,000 to accomplish this project.
  • We hope to acquire the Depot in 2012.
  • For information call: Jim Schulz, Depot Committee Chair 783-9682 or go to www.allaboardwestcliffe.org
