The Westcliffe D&RG Depot on Main Street as it looked before restoration began.
THE DENVER & RIO GRANDE RAILROAD DEPOT RESTORATION PROJECT
ALL ABOARD WESTCLIFFE PURCHASED THE HISTORIC DEPOT IN 2014
The Depot, built in 1901 by the Denver & Rio Grande RR, was granted state historical designation by the Colorado Historical Society, May of 2010. The building is located at 102 Main in downtown Westcliffe.
The restoration of the building and subsequent tourism will provide jobs for locals and help to promote more economic activity right here in the Wet Mountain Valley.
We are trying to raise the funds to) maintain it's restoration to its 1920's era of prominence and influence.
Our goal is to raise the needed money to accomplish this project.
We were able to acquire the Depot in 2013 and now are working to restore it to its 1920's era of prominence.
All Aboard Westcliffe is an all-volunteer organization primarily involved in the preservation of railroad history in the Wet Mountain Valley. AAW was formed in 1989 and is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation.
By making a contribution to this project, you will be partnering with AAW to preserve an important piece of railroad heritage and provide economic support to the Wet Mountain Valley community.
Thank you for your consideration in helping with this endeavor. All donations, large or small, will be greatly appreciated.
